Hong Kong Events
Apart from the fantastic firework displays at Chinese New Year, Hong Kong hosts regular music events, showcasing some of the biggest names at the AsiaWorld – Expo Centre. There’s also Clockenflap, a highly anticipated annual music event held in one of the most beautiful settings; across the harbour and in front of the stunning Hong Kong skyline. The standout event of the year is the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens, attracting visitors from across the world to partake in a fun filled weekend. Even if rugby isn’t your thing, if you love a party, you will love the Sevens. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, dress up in fancy dress and cheer on your country.
The world famous Happy Valley Racecourse is a great way to break-up the working week. Every Wednesday evening from September – July, join the celebrations at the stunning horse-racing course which is embedded in the middle of the city. Drinks and food are inexpensive, and with just a small entry fee of around $10 HKD you can sit back, relax and soak in the electric atmosphere all night.
During the weekend junk-boating is the perfect opportunity for meeting new people. You can choose from day trips, night cruises, to overnight deals. It's not just about socialising, drinking and dining on junk trips. Many junks also offer various water activities, such as wake boarding, water skiing and banana boat rides; on-board entertainment and amenities may include karaoke, waterslides, and even masseuse services.
A bustling array of restaurants, eateries and bars take up most of the trendiest areas of town. There’s an amazing selection of Western and Asian restaurants as well as chilled rooftop bars offering unbeatable views of the city. Ozone, the world’s highest bar, is a pick of the choice with breath taking views of Kowloon, Hong Kong island and the beautiful Victoria Harbour. The hustle and bustle of the city is what makes Hong Kong so unique. Most bars and clubs are in east Tsim Sha Tsui, Lan Kwai Fong and Wan Chai. The gem is Lan Kwai Fong, which has become the icon of the nightlife in Hong Kong.

Don’t worry about your playing abilities, whether you’ve just moved to Hong Kong or have been here forever, sports are a great way to meet like-minded people and expand your social circle.
